VINHORECA – Medals for two of our wines for Tapas
VA VOLCAN 2009
VOLCAN and CLARAVAL: Awarded Silver and Bronze medals in its respective categories
The 2010 edition of VINHORECA took part in Madrid the last 1st October. The quality of the wines of Bodegas y Viñedos del Jalón was recognized, also in those wines for “tapeo” or "pub crawling".
Volcan 2009 has been awarded a Silver medal in the category of Young Wines Without Oak Treatment. CLARAVAL 2006 obtained a Bronze medal in the category of Wines With Less than 15 Months of Ageing (in both cases Wines Below 5€ per Glass). This is the confirmation of our philosophy: Good Price and Good Quality can and should go together...
Enjoying an "excellent" carbonic maceration Old Vines Tempranillo during the whole year is only possible with VOLCAN. Its treatment and excellent quality grapes make it a long-living, consistent wine, that doesn’t loose its peculiar fruit and aromas. All these features had been previously stated with the Golden Medal this wine was awarded in the Berliner Wein Trophy 2010 (Germany).
CLARAVAL gives the opportunity to approach wonderfully rated wines by the "Guru" PARKER (91 points) without needing to invest a fortune. It’s a coupage of Garnacha, Tempranillo, Syrah and Cabernet Sauvignon, very balanced and rounded, aged during 6 months in new French Oak barrels.
Both of them are today’s wines. The right ones to be enjoyed in a Bar or a Restaurant.
