The abbot Bernard of Fontain (1090-1153), also known as Bernardo de Claraval, was the main driver of the twelfth century Cistercian movement. Their contributions helped to shape the Gregorian chant and to expand the Cistercian architecture in Europe. But the main thing that influences us, was to bring wine culture to our monasteries.
